Why Do We...?

Christian Family Fellowship's services are based on Scripture.

We minister to the Lord in worship. Each service begins with joyous songs of praise, prayer and worship by all the people

We minister to people. We pray for the sick, comfort the hurting and sorrowful, encourage the weak and weary, reach out in love to those who need the touch of a friend.

We minister the Word of God. The proclamation of the Gospel comes after individuals have opened their hearts to God and turned from themselves to others. Only then are they really ready to hear and benefit fully from the Word of the Lord.

Why do we lift our hands?

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord (Psalm 134:2). I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (I Timothy 2:8)

Why Do We Pray in Tongues?

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God; for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (I Corinthians 14:2). He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself...(I Corinthians 14:4)

Why Do We Have Interpretation of Tongues?

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also (I Corinthians 14:14,15). Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues (I Corinthians 14:39). If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret (I Corinthians 14:27).

Why Does the Whole Congregation Pray at Once for Specific Needs?

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which has made heaven, and earth...(Acts 4:24).

Why We Anoint With Oil and Pray for the Sick?

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (James 5:14,15). They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18).

We are a growing, family-oriented group of believers whose heart is building people and building dreams. Our focus is building relationships, not religion.
