OVERCOMING FEAR AND THE CORONA VIRUS
BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB
AND THE WORD OF YOUR TESTIMONY

Loved not their lives unto death
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.  Revelation 12:11 MEV

Many people fear death.  We must cultivate our relationship with God so that we love Him and desire to do what He says in His Word more than we love ourselves.  This is what Jesus was talking about when He said, “Those who want to save their lives will lose them. But those who lose their lives for me and for the Good News will save them.”  (Mark 8:35 ESV) You are much safer turning your life over to Him and following His direction that you are trying to save it yourself.

When you turn your life over to Him, you are making the decision to submit to the counsel of His Word and follow it instead of your own ideas.  Understanding that your relationship with God is a love relationship makes this easier to do.  And when you do this, you are, in effect, allowing the New Covenant (that was made effective by Jesus’ blood) to be in force in your life.  God’s Covenant with you is a force that will protect and direct you if you will believe it and speak it.

Jesus said that if we love Him, we will keep His commandments.  He also said that the two greatest commands were to love God and others.  We demonstrate our love by obeying what He tells us to do. He never tells us to do anything that will bring harm to ourselves or to others.  His restrictions are never intended to rob us of any good thing.  Far too many times we are like disobedient children.  Imagine a mother preparing supper for her family.  She also baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies.  The wonderful aroma brings the children into the kitchen and they watch as Mom pulls those hot luscious cookies out of the oven.  Of course, they want a cookie right away!!  Mom tells them “no” because supper will be ready soon, but she promises they can have cookies as soon as they eat their supper.  We understand that Mom wants her children to eat a healthy meal before they fill up on cookies.  The child who is obedient and waits for his cookies until after supper demonstrates how much he loves his mother.  The child who sneaks a cookie anyway demonstrates that he loves himself more he loves Mom.  Of course, both children love their mother, but one loves and respects her enough to obey her.  He demonstrates by his actions that he loves her more than he loves himself.

Your love for God will grow when you spend more time in His Word.  You will begin to realize that every commandment He gives is for your benefit, not His.  And when you reach the point that you love God more than you do yourself, you will begin to make changes that enable you to live your life closer to Him.  You will begin to enjoy a life filled with the fullness of Him (Eph. 3:19).

This is what God wants for you.  When you are filled with the fullness of Him, His power will flow in your life in the same way it flowed out of Jesus.  There is nothing that has the power to stop a covenant man or woman who knows who they are in Christ and lives like it.  You will enjoy all the benefits of your salvation (Psalm 103).  You will become a formidable force, an ambassador for God’s kingdom and power, overcoming all of the power of the enemy and his works in the earth by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony of faith in His Word.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 AMPC

Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. Luke 10:19 AMPC
